Job description

As an agency, we work with the biggest polish and international clients like UNICEF, UN, AON, Maspex (Kubuś, Alcalia, Tymbark, Decomoreno, Tarczyn), Tupperware, Telefonika, Lionbridge, Bratex, Link4, and many others. Our offer combines strategic branding with handcrafted digital solutions. From strategy workshops to full brand & digital product development processes + growth. The revised 2020 strategy took us deeper into the eCommerce field and D2C brands and this is the direction we will continue, however, our main verticals are FMCG, B2B (production, industry 4.0), technology, beauty & health. 

It is worth mentioning that we are a part of the United Nations Global Compact initiative and we do our best to work with conscious brands that feel the responsibility they hold over the natural environment and shaping the society. 

2020 brought Funktional a 100% Y/Y growth. We aim to repeat this success and scale the company in 2021 by another 100%. In order to achieve this goal, we need to strengthen the business development team. That's why we are looking for an ambitious and skilled New Business Manager, who will give us the edge we need to make this happen. You will be responsible for the whole process starting with prospecting, first contact with potential clients, understanding their business goals and problems, briefing, proposal preparation, closing the deals up until after-sale support. You will have our client service, marketing, design, development, and admin teams available to help you in every way possible. All processes within the company, especially the sales process is well documented and supported with templates for every step. 

We are looking for someone who has a consultative approach, can empathize, and go deep to build a real connection with the client. On average we close 19% of the deals we qualify, so our marketing efforts are now being transitioned into an ABM (Account-Based Marketing) approach and sales will also be aligned with this approach. What this means is that we are focusing on a limited list of potential clients that fit our sweet spot. We are looking for quality, not quantity.

If chosen, you will be responsible for

  • Creating contact lists based on ideal client persona and target company list
  • Finding and identifying new leads using a wide range of marketing tools (ex. Albacross, Linkedin Sales Navigator, etc) 
  • Reaching out to prospects via email, social media, and other tools (ex. Woodpecker, Linkedin + Dux soup)
  • Helping in handling inbound leads
  • Conducting discovery calls and presenting
  • Qualifying prospects 
  • Preparing proposals with support from other teams
  • Closing deals
  • Managing the sales process with Pipedrive CRM (if it's not in the CRM, it didn't happen)
  • Contributing to Funktional’s business development strategy

Job requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in active selling or business development, preferably marketing/digital services
  • Working knowledge of outbound marketing (in creative or IT industry)
  • 1+ year of practice in using online marketing to fire up leads' interest 
  • Experience with sales CRM software
  • Very good work organization, time management and planning skills
  • Great written and verbal communication skills 
  • Great command of written and spoken English 
  • Great command of written and spoken Polish (native)
  • Analytical skills

Nice to haves

  • Experience with international clients
  • Passion for advertising, design and new technologies
  • Knowledge of more than one foreign language

  • Base salary of 5.000-10.000 (B2B) depending on experience + commission + bonuses for reaching KPI's with a possibility to switch to a fixed fee later on
